Doha, Qatar – May 27, 2025 – Art Basel, the world’s most prestigious international art fair, has officially confirmed its expansion into the Middle East with the launch of Art Basel Qatar, scheduled for February 2026. This historic announcement marks the fair’s first edition in the region and signals a new chapter for contemporary art in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA).
The debut edition will be held at M7, a cutting-edge creative hub located in the heart of Doha’s Msheireb district, and will also activate venues across the Doha Design District. The event is organized in collaboration with Qatar’s leading cultural institutions, aiming to elevate the city of Doha as a major global destination for art, culture, and design.
Art Basel Qatar 2026 will feature a highly curated lineup of approximately 50 international and regional galleries, presenting modern and contemporary artworks across disciplines.
